Bringing this blog back to life - Hemepath 

So... I'm bringing the blog back to life from its hiatus with a couple hemepath cases. I'll try to make them follow some order, so I'm starting with lymph nodes. 
Here go two cases:

CASE 1:

50-something year-old woman with parotid mass:
The case
Immunophenotype:
Negative: CD3, CD5, CD10, CD23, BCL-2, BCL-1
Positive: CD20, CD21, sIg

CASE 2:

60 year-old male with asymptomatic lymphadenopathy:
Immunophenotype:
Negative: CD3, CD5, BCL-1
Positive: CD20, CD10, BCL-2

    The answers for these cases are:
    1. MALT (marginal zone) lymphoma.
    In the salary glands is classically associated with Sjogren's syndrome.

    2. Follicular lymphoma. It is graded based on the number of centroblasts per high power field. In this case it's a grade 1, since there are in average les than 5 centroblasts/HPF.
