Bringing this blog back to life - Hemepath 

So... I'm bringing the blog back to life from its hiatus with a couple hemepath cases. I'll try to make them follow some order, so I'm starting with lymph nodes. 
Here go two cases:

CASE 1:

50-something year-old woman with parotid mass:

19) This 54 year old man presented with weight loss and abdominal pain of approximately three months' duration.

20) A 64-year-old man with a recent onset of severe diarrhea and epigastric pain was found to have a left upper abdominal mass. A laparotomy was performed revealing a 34 x 18 x 13 em. multicystic mass in the tail of the pancreas.

Week 2 (Pancreas), Day 3, Slides 17-18

Might be the last post for this week.... as I rethink the utility / ultimate goal of the blog.

17) A 23-year-old woman presented with vague abdominal discomfort and mild pain. A CT scan revealed a well-demarcated heterogeneous mass in the tail of her pancreas. The mass on resection was partially cystic with multinodular yellow-tan areas.

18) A 53-year-old man underwent a CT scan during the work up of abdominal pain, which revealed a tumor in the tail of the pancreas. A distal pancreatectomy revealed a 3.0 cm solid tumor.

Week 2 (Pancreas), Day 2, Slides 15-16

Hey all, Looks like we stay with the current way of giving answers in the comments for now.

A 55-year-old woman underwent abdominal ultrasonography for abdominal pain. A 7.5 cm multiloculated cyst involving the distal pancreas was seen. on distal pancreatic resection no communication with the pancreatic ductal system was seen.

A 76-year-old man underwent abdominal ultrasonography for evaluation of abdominal pain, which revealed a large mass involving the body of the pancreas. Subsequent resection showed a delicately encapsulated 17.0 cm mass with cystic and necrotic-appearing areas and fleshy, tan-to-white cut surface.
