Week 2 (Pancreas), Day 3, Slides 17-18

Might be the last post for this week.... as I rethink the utility / ultimate goal of the blog.

17) A 23-year-old woman presented with vague abdominal discomfort and mild pain. A CT scan revealed a well-demarcated heterogeneous mass in the tail of her pancreas. The mass on resection was partially cystic with multinodular yellow-tan areas.

18) A 53-year-old man underwent a CT scan during the work up of abdominal pain, which revealed a tumor in the tail of the pancreas. A distal pancreatectomy revealed a 3.0 cm solid tumor.
